His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, received at his office today, Monday, 21 Shawwal, 1440 A.H., the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, Dr. Hasan Bukhari, and the Arabic language instructors from the Indonesian and Senegalese universities and institutions who have joined the annual summer course held by the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers. The course is being held for the eleventh consecutive year, and concerns teaching the Arabic language using a package of cultural and training programs prepared for 40 instructors from Indonesia and Senegal.
The Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, Dr. Hasan Bukhari, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency UQU's President, for the support and attention given to the institute due to its pioneer role in serving Islam and Muslims. This role entails spreading the teachings of the Arabic language throughout the globe, and enhancing the Arabic language skills of all the male and female students of the institute.
It is worth mentioning that the annual summer course this year pivots around the sciences of the Arabic language, how to build and develop the curricula of the language, as well as training courses for Noble Qur'an sciences and its interpretation (Tafseer). The summer course is accompanied by a varied cultural and touristic program, including a tour of the holy places and the Great Mosque of Mecca, a visit to the Cave of Hira' at Jabal Al-Nour (Al-Nour Mountain), and a touristic trip to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah and Ta'if city.
