In the presence of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, a cooperation agreement was signed on Thursday, 18 Ramadan 1440 A.H., between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research and the College of Pharmacy to conduct scientific pharmaceutical research.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmad bin Hatim Qadi, the Vice Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research (Al-Madinah Branch), on behalf of the Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, and Dr. Faisal bin Ateeq Al-Malki, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
The aim of the agreement is to facilitate joint cooperation between the college and the institute in order to conduct specialized scientific research on the health of pilgrims and visitors of the two holy mosques, in accordance with the scientific standards and scientific research procedures at Umm Al-Qura University. Moreover, it also aims to allow researchers from the College of Pharmacy to partake in the research projects that are set to contribute to the service and development of the health services provided to the guests of the Merciful, in line with the Saudi Kingdom's Vision 2030.
