The Documents and Administrative Communication Center at Umm Al-Qura University launched 38 new electronic services. They aim at facilitating the procedures for university staff, and promoting the process of transition to electronic transactions. Moreover, it was also announced that the new services will be activated on the first day of Ramadan, without the need to use the communication system "Masar". This took place during the meeting of the Standing Committee for Documents headed by Dr. Yasir bin Sulaiman Shosho, the Vice President of the University.
The new electronic services included a number of services for incoming and outgoing transaction numbers, and a package of other services for a number of entities at the university to book appointments in advance, as well as a large number of e-services that can be identified by FAQs.
The University's Vice President, Dr. Yasir Shosho, honored the staff of the center for their efforts and the positive results achieved, according to the center's annual report. Furthermore, the Director of the Documents and Administrative Communication Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sulaimani, stated that they were moving towards automating all services, to provide an environment conducive to constructing and manufacturing electronic transactions, which will in turn facilitate administrative work and provide statistics that contribute to the development of work outcomes within the university.
