The Department of Computer Science in Jamoum Holds an Exhibition for the Scientific Posters

The Department of Computer Science, through the participation of the Department of Biology in Jamoum University College, held an exhibition for the scientific posters of the graduation projects of the male and female students on Tuesday, 4 Sha`ban, 1440 A.H., in the female section, and on Wednesday, 5 Sha`ban, 1440 A.H., in the male section. The number of posters submitted by the female students of the Department of Computer Science amounted to (20) scientific posters, while the number of posters submitted by the male students of the Department of Computer Science amounted to (14) scientific posters.

The goal of holding the exhibition was to give the male and female students the opportunity to show and display their projects, highlight the students' achievements, enhance the spirit of competition, creativity and excellence, enable the students to acquire the skills of research, preparing scientific posters and eloquence, and give them the opportunity to exhibit the projects to the scientific community and the labor market.

The visitors of the exhibition from inside and outside the college were received, and the students stood beside their posters to explain the synopsis of their projects, along with exhibiting pictures of their practical applications. The posters were evaluated, in terms of the idea portrayed, shape, content, and presentation, by the visitors to the male and female sections, to choose the best scientific poster that was exhibited during the two days of the exhibition. The scientific poster of the females section entitled, "Raise Awareness of Smoking Associated Health Risks Among Teenagers in Saudi Arabia Using Augmented Reality", obtained the certificate of the best scientific poster for the year 1439-1440 A.H., as it received the highest score from the visitors of both sections (109 marks).

The Department of Computer Science extends its thanks to all students who participated in the exhibition, congratulates those who acquired the best scores, and wishes everyone success and progress.
