Under the noble patronage of his Excellency the General Director of Education in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Department of Physical Education cooperated with the Department of Educational Supervision in the General Directorate of Education in Makkah, in carrying out the activities of the first Health and Physical Education Forum. The forum was held on Wednesday 13 Rajab 1440 A.H. at King Fahd Hall in Al-Aziziyyah.

The forum aimed to educate young men about the importance of health and physical activity and the most important studies and research pertaining to school sports. The themes of the forum centered on four sessions offered by academic staff members from the Department of Physical Education.

The first session tackled physical and health activities and was presented by his Excellency the Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs, Dr. Tawfiq bin Idris Al-Bakri. The second session tackled the topics of safety in sports halls and on playgrounds. It was presented by his Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Abdul-Samad Al-Khudari, the Associate Professor at the Department. The third session dealt with physical inactivity and the school day. It was offered by his Excellency Dr. Faisal bin Awad Barwais, an assistant professor at the Department of Physical Education and the Vice Dean of Scientific Research at Umm Al-Qura University. The fourth session concentrated on school sports injuries and how to avoid and treat them. It was presented by his Excellency Dr. Ayman bin Abdulaziz Sarhan, an assistant professor at the Department of Physical Education. The forum targeted supervisors and teachers of physical education.
