Dr. Yasser ibn Suleiman Shushu, the Umm Al-Qura University Vice President, praised the success of the Saudi royal air forces for intercepting the ballistic missile launched by the Huthi militants and Ali Abullah Saleh’s, insane, group, and destroying it at the distance of 65 kilometers of  Makkah, without causing any damage. This highlights the capability of the Kingdom to foil such criminal acts taken up by this oppressive group, de-legitimatizing the Yemeni government.

He went on to point out that   the encroaching of these militias and those pushing them targeting this blessed spot “Makkah” provokes the sentiments of Muslims all over the world. And it is a mean, criminal action crossed all red lines and disregarded all the religious, moral and human principles. 

Dr. Shush added that “the patience of the Saudi leadership and its people with these dangerous encroachments is out of mercy for Yemen and Yemeni People. The Saudi forces are able to encounter these criminal actions and go beyond that much further to the effect that Huthi, A’afash and their mercenaries will not hold out. Likewise, he called on all the Islamic states, members of the Islamic Cooperation Organization to take a collective, serious stance against this vicious aggression and those pushing and supporting its perpetrators. “     

Concluding his statement, Dr. Shushu prays Allah ,the Almighty, to perpetuate our country’s security and prosperity, and to support its leader, the Custodian of the Two Holy Moques, King Salman ibn Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, his Royal Highness the Heir Apparent and Deputy Crown Prince and their prudent government.
