Within the framework of the community partnership between the University College at Al Jamoum and the various governmental and private institutions, the University College held a training program (quality 40) for a number of civil defense officers in Makkah Region where the head of physics department, Dr. Saeed Maeed Al Qahtani, presented a workshop on radiation hazards and how to deal with them generally and especially in emergency situations. At the end of the program, the Director General of Civil Defense in Makkah Region, Major General Salim bin Marzouq Al-Matrafi, presented the participants with certificates.
