A medical team from the University Medical Center dental clinic visited Al-Forqan National Primary School in Makkah on Wednesday 15 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., to educate students about oral hygiene and provide them with preventive measures against tooth decay and gum diseases.
The visit included several activities, including the presentation of an awareness video about how dental cavities occur, the right way to brush teeth, and the importance of eating healthy food. The team also checked the teeth of 50 students from the school to determine the number of cavities they had and the health of their gums. They then wrote a report for families about the proper dental procedures to be followed.
At the conclusion of the visit, the team distributed a gift of toothbrushes and toothpaste to students to motivate them to regularly clean their teeth to avoid decay and gum diseases.
The visit is part of the programs of the University Medical Center to provide awareness to various sectors of the community on disease prevention and health maintenance to achieve the center's community partnership mission in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
