UQU Vice President Participates in a Workshop to Discuss Initiatives of the Universities

Vice President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) for Academic Development and Community Service Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi and the Director of the Planning and Budget Department Mr. Waleed Simbawa participated on behalf of the UQU President  in a workshop about the "Central Discussion of the Initiatives of the Saudi Universities" and the financial planning of these initiatives from the state's budget for the year 2017. The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Education in the presence of the Strategic Management Office of the Economic and Development Affairs Council, the National Center for Public Agencies Performance Measurement‭‬, the Center for  Achievement and Rapid Response  and other supporting bodies within the umbrella of achieving the Saudi vision 2030.  
 


The workshop discussed the allocations required for the previously approved transformation initiatives for the year 2017, the new initiatives  and their impacts at the national level, besides reviewing the strategic objectives of the Ministry and its correlation with the objectives of the vision. 
 


Meanwhile, Dr. Hani expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas for his confidence and lasting keenness  to support the educational momentum in the university and for creating the appropriate academic environment and his support shown to the university initiatives for the National Transformation Program 2020. He expressed his confidence that the university initiatives will achieve excellence, Allah willing. He also lauded the support provided by the Supervisor General of the Saudi Vision Achievement Office at the Ministry of Education Dr. Mohamed Al-Harthi and his close follow up  of all works of the university initiatives. It didn't escape his notice to praise the efforts exerted by the taskforce in charge of the university initiatives for the National Transformation Program 2020 set to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
