The College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah organized a training course for students entitled, 'Computer Applications in Industrial Engineering', on Tuesday, 7 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 AH., at the College Theater in Al-Qunfudhah.

A member of the academic staff in the college, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hasani, presented the course and covered the computer programs used in industrial engineering, including: Minitab and "R" programs, and their ability to analyze statistical data. He made a comparison between the two programs, and explained when it is preferred to use each program in the different engineering and industrial fields.

The course comes as part of the keenness attached by the Dean of the College, His Excellency Dr. Jabir Sa`id Al-Zahrani, to enriching the knowledge of the students, in line with the directives of the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, and to keep pace with the Saudi Vision 2030.
