In line with the comprehensive vision of Makkah Emirate adopted by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Emir of Makkah Province, which is represented in the strategy of 'Human Development and Land Construction', with its slogan, 'How to be a Role Model', the first elimination stage of the competition of the University Role Model in its third edition was organized within the initiatives of Umm Al-Qura University pertaining to the College of Business Administration. This was in order for the college to nominate its winner of the College Role Model competition. The first stage of the competition was held on Tuesday, 23 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 5 January, 2019 A.C.

The judging committee included: Ms. Lamia' Barzi, Deputy Head of Business Entrepreneurship, Ms. Nuha Al-Aliy, lecturer in the Department of Marketing, and Ms. Fadiah Al-Juhani, competition coordinator for the current academic year.

After considering the female students who were nominated for the title: Mariam Muhammad Khan, Shuruq Nabil Zawawi, and Lama Muhammad Iraqi, the student Mariam Khan won the College Role Model competition. All participating students presented their university achievements and contributions, community contributions, and self-development programs in which they had been involved to the judging committee. Participation in this competition aimed at promoting students' self-confidence, spreading the culture of setting an example among the male and female students of the university, and fostering a creative and competitive environment that motivates the male and female students of Umm Al-Qura University.

It is worth mentioning that the female winner at the first stage of the College Role Model competition will participate in the final ceremony to choose the first three positions at the level of the university, which will be held on 25 Rajab,1440 A.H. It is also worth mentioning that the winner of the first place at the level of the university will receive (20,000) twenty thousand riyals, the second place will receive (15000) fifteen thousand riyals, and the third place will receive (10,000) ten thousand riyals.
