A team of experts from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University visit the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Makkah province on Tuesday, 23 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., to discuss mutual cooperation in the field of serving pilgrims through the studies and programs conducted by the Institute.
The delegate became acquainted with the services offered by the center, especially during the Hajj and Umrah season, and the technologies used, as well as the guiding and informative systems that enable it to offer its services. The visit of the team of experts aims at endorsing cooperation among the bodies concerned with the Security, Safety and Health System during Hajj and Umrah.
The team included the Vice Dean of the Institute for Research Projects, Dr. Mazin Al-Shamarani, assistant professor at the Department of Administrative and Humanitarian Research and an expert on Geographic Information Systems, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khalidi, assistant professor at the Department of Environment and Health Research and an expert on Geographic System and Remote Sensing, Dr. Walid Abu Al-Saud, and a researcher at the Planning Support and Design Unit and an expert on Geographic Information Systems, Eng. Mahmoud Qattan.
Members of the Institute convened with the manager of the Unified Security Operations Center (911) at Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Colonel Ali Al-Ghamdi. They discussed the aspects relating to development, modern systems of geographic information, and modern operating applications of Hajj and Umrah at Makkah and the Sacred Sites.
