The College of Applied Medical Sciences launched the Platform (Manassah) Forum of female speakers last Thursday, at the College of Applied Medical Sciences at King Abdulaziz supporting hall, in Al-Abdiyyah. The aim of the forum was to encourage female students to achieve distinction, enrich their cognitive and practical knowledge, and disseminate the spirit of enthusiasm and competition among them.
Female speakers from inside and outside the University participated in the forum, as well as a number of female academic staff and students. They tackled the importance of motivation, positivity, self-esteem, and the confrontation and removal of difficulties. Dr. Ramia Sindi, the Vice-Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and a number of female vice-deans of different colleges, deanships, institutes and centers attended the forum.
Dr. Ramia pointed out that the forum enriched and developed presentation skills as it tackled several experiences and techniques that succeeded in achieving aspirations, persistence in reaching goals, and distinction in what they offer. She also stressed the success of the forum in having a positive effect on the female students.
