His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, received the annual report on the achievements of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies for the academic year (1438/1439 A.H.) from the Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Sa`id Al-Harthi, on Thursday, 11 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. This took place in the presence of the Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir Al-Harbi, the Vice-Deans, and the Administrative Manager.

The annual report includes the achievements accomplished by the Vice-Deanships, statistics on some of the transactions carried out during the academic year (1438-1439 A.H.), and the number of scientific theses which were registered by the students and the number of graduates of different colleges. The number of postgraduate students amounted to 3900 in the stages of PhD and Master's degrees, and the high diploma.

His Excellency the UQU President expressed his appreciation for the support received by Umm Al-Qura University from the wise government, which has contributed to providing an educational environment that fulfills the aspirations and ambitions of the UQU affiliates, including the students, employees, and academic staff. He also praised the programs offered by the Deanship at the University.

The Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir Al-Harbi, praised the efforts exerted by the Deanship to serve the students. The Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Sa`id bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Harthi, said, "These achievements would not have been accomplished except for Allah's support, and then the UQU President's follow-up and keenness to offer optimum services to the students."
