Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives Members of Administration of King Salman Chair for Makkah History Studies

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz  Al-Saud received on Wednesday Muharram 11th, 1438 H, at his office in Al-Yamamah Palace  in Riyadh the members of the Administration of King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud Chair for Makkah History Studies led by the President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri M'atooq bin Bakri Assas and the Advisor at the Royal Court and the Acting Secretary General of King Abdul-Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Sammari. 


During the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed the importance of attaching great concern to Makkah history and documenting it, pointing to the great responsibility shouldered by the Kingdom as the land of the two holy mosques, place of the revelation and the birthplace of the prophet's message. He described the title of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as a great honor for himself and a great responsibility.   


After that, the President of UQU Dr. Assas delivered address saying that the care being rendered  by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the publications of King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud Chair for Makkah History Studies embodies the keenness he attaches to the cultural and historical affairs, adding that the Chair is dedicated to the most holiest place on the earth, Makkah which represents the history of the Nation, its reminiscence and shining faith.  

    
Further, he said  the University of Umm Al-Qura is honored on this occasion to present as a gift to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the first set of the Chair's publications in a recognition of his interest in the history of this holy land. He hoped for these publications to be the first fruits of more great historical projects.  

  
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud received the first set of the chair's publication as a memorial gift on this occasion.


It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, and Minister of Interior Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul-Aziz, HE Minister of State and the member of the Council of Ministers  Dr. Musaad bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and the Minister of Foreign Affairs  Mr. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
