The students of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah visited the Toyota Maintenance Center at Muhammad Saleh Baqi Group, an agent of Abdul-Latif Jameel Company in Al-Qunfudhah. The students were received by the Center Manager, Mr. Muhammad Ali Marwi, and the Maintenance Manager, Engineer Sayyid Abu Al-Ila, who discussed the maintenance phases and provided details on the maintenance of Toyota vehicles. The students started their tour by reviewing how the center receives a vehicle from the customer for inspection, maintenance, or repair. Next, they visited the workshop for them to become acquainted with its different sections and facilities. The Maintenance Manager focused on the importance of fulfilling security and safety requirements in all the sections concerned with maintenance, and stressed the importance of punctuality and quality in relation to the work. The students inspected the departments of electricity and air conditioning, mechanics, and vehicle denting and painting, where they listened to an explanation of the details of the work, and reviewed the equipment and tools used for repair and maintenance, which had been certified by the parent company (Toyota Japan).

Mr. Muhammad Marwi, the Center Manger, said he would be happy for the graduates of the College of Engineering to become part of the Company's engineering and technical staff, as he had recently received the College's students as trainees, and still continues to receive them. During the tour, the students were accompanied by Dr. Amin Dawud, an academic staff member, and the Media Unit Supervisor, Mr. Sa`d Al-Muhammad. The students expressed their interest in the visit by actively participating in it, and were pleased with the tour which enriched their technical information.
