In light of the strategic cooperation between the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques and the University of Umm Al-Qura, and in order to put into effect the cooperation agreement between the two sides, a delegation from the Media Center at Umm Al-Qura University visited the General Presidency. They were received by His Excellency Dr. Salim bin Ali Urijah, the General Supervisor of the Department of Media and Communication. The two sides also discussed means of joint cooperation in the fields of training and media studies that enhance the opportunities of scientific research for university staff and the media development of the message of the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to cooperation in the use of facilities and field utilities.
The delegation then went on a tour of the various presidential facilities related to training, reception, and meetings. During their visit to the Department of Media and Communication and the Media Center, they reviewed the mechanism of the media work in the department, the methods used in communication and media coordination, in addition to the brochures and publications issued by the Presidency. The delegation also learned about the achievements of the Department of Media and Communication, the Department of Public Relations, and the Media Center. They also reviewed the latest developments and information related to the Two Holy Mosques and the use of the latest technology.
Dr. Abdullah Mustafa Al-Shinqity, the General Supervisor of the Media Center at the university, praised the qualitative shift witnessed by the Presidency in its media products, and its effective use of new media and visual communication in line with modern media trends.
Meanwhile, Dr. Urijah praised the eagerness of Umm Al-Qura University to provide the Presidency with qualified staff in all sectors and to maintain the historical and effective partnership between the two sides. He stressed that the system of development and modernization in the Presidency spares no effort to achieve the highest degree of professional media.
It is worth mentioning that the General Directorate of Media and Communication seeks to build bridges of communication and cooperation through a variety of media, including new media channels, by publishing news, daily photos, reports, and video clips in order to improve the governmental work system, realize the aims of Saudi Vision 2030, and highlight the services provided to the visitors of the Two Holy Mosques.
