His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah Province, headed a municipal council meeting to discuss the development projects and review the progress of the work. The Deputy Emirate of Makkah Province, Dr. Hisham bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Falih, and those in charge in governmental bodies attended the meeting at the headquarters in Al-Qunfudhah governorate.
The University Vice-President for Branches, Dr. Abdul-Majid bin Sa`id Al-Ghamdi, attended the meeting. He praised his Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal for his care of the projects of the university branches in Al-Qunfudhah, Adham, and Ardhiyat.
Dr. Al-Ghamdi pointed out that they became acquainted with the programs offered by Al-Qunfudhah branch colleges, represented by the University College, College of Engineering, College of Computer Science, College of Health Sciences, and College of Medicine, which encompasses about 15 thousand students. He indicated that in order to follow the directions of his Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail, to upgrade the educational environment and keep pace with the development of Al-Qunfudhah governorate, the university college building project for male and female sections is in progress, covering a total area of 24 thousand square meters.
