The People with Special Needs Unit and the Ghali Club at the Deanship of Student Affairs organize, 'The Theater Festival for Persons with Mental Disorder', at Al-Jawarah Hall in the female campus. This festival is one of the student activities at the Vice-Deanship of Student Affairs for Activities and Training. The Vice-President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Activities and Training, Dr. Khulud bint Muhammad Abulnaja, and a number of vice-deans of different colleges and deanships and their female students attended the activity.
The theater festival aims at showing cases of mental disabilities, and the obstacles that face the sick when receiving medicine or meet those whose responsibility is to administer their medication.
In her speech, the University Vice-President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, pointed out that those persons are very dear to us; thus, we have to care for them, seeking Allah's reward. She said that we also have to be patient with them. Next, she praised the efforts of the Vice-Deanship of Student Affairs for Activities and Training for organizing such activities that are of great benefit to students.
On his part, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Activities and Training, Dr. Khulud bint Muhammad Abulnaja, pointed out that persons with special needs are members of the community who can benefit the society through their skills and abilities, by encouraging them to actively contribute in their local neighborhood. Doing so makes them confident of their ability to benefit others. Finally, she expressed thanks to the Vice-President for her attendance and patronage of this festival.
The festival was concluded by honoring those who participated in it.
