Vice-President of Taif University is Informed about Research Programs at the Institute of Hajj and Umrah Research

Her Excellency the Vice-President of Taif University for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Iman Al-Zahrani, visited the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research at Umm Al-Qura University in Al-Aziziyyah on Tuesday, 19 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. She was accompanied by the Dean of Academic Development, Dr. Awad Al-Ji`idi, and the Dean of the Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Rana Zini.

As soon as the delegation of Taif University had reached the permanent hall for exhibiting the works and projects of the Institute, they watched an introductory film about the history and achievements of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research. The Dean of the Institute, Dr. Sami bin Yasin Brahmin, offered a brief presentation about the Institute and its advancements in research, from when it was founded till the present time.

Dr. Sami Brahmin praised the support and directions of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of the University, that serve the works and studies undertaken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research. He indicated that the Institute performs more than 80 studies and scientific programs annually in matters related to the health and safety of pilgrims. These programs are discussed in the annual forum under the noble patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, and the seasonal forums during Ramadan and Hajj.

Brahmin said, "The Institute offers field studies that upgrade the services presented to pilgrims and the visitors of the noble Prophetic Mosque, relating to administrative, human, environmental, health, urban, engineering, informative, and information aspects and its technologies. These studies introduce recommendations and theses that serve the works of Hajj and Umrah, and aim at making Hajj and its services an exemplary image that demonstrates the human and developmental progress achieved by the Kingdom in accordance with the National Transformation Plan 2020 and the vision of the Kingdom for the year 2030 A.C.

On her part, the Vice-President of Taif University for student Affairs, her Excellency Dr. Iman Al-Zahrani, and the accompanying delegation praised the studies and programs undertaken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research. They asserted that the Institute contributed in improving the services offered in Hajj and Umrah, wishing much success to all researchers in the Institute.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Vice-President of Umm Al-Qura University for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Vice-Deans of the Institute, heads of the Departments, the Dean of University Studies, Dr. Hala bint Said Al-Amoudi, and the Advisor to the Vice-President for Female Students Affairs, Dr. Haifa' bint Othman, attended the meeting.
