On Wednesday, 13 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., corresponding to 21 November, 2018 A.C., the UQU Deanship of Scientific Research will host a lecture to be delivered by His Excellency Prof. Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah ibn Humaid, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and Chancellor at the Royal Court. The lecture will be attended by His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, vice-presidents, deans of the colleges, and postgraduate students and will be held in King Abdul-Aziz Historical Hall at the University City in Al-Abdiyyah.
The Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ahdal, praised Prof. Humaid for his positive response to the invitation of the Deanship of Scientific Research represented in the Islamic Studies Center, in cooperation with the Saudi Fiqh Society representatives in Umm Al-Qura University. The topic for the lecture is 'Scientific Research Methodologies and Techniques', reflecting His Excellency's scientific expertise.
Dr. Al-Ahdal clarified that this lecture was organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research and is a result of the support and guidance given by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Bafail for the activities and research programs implemented by the university through the research centers affiliated to it. These programs aim to encourage the researchers and benefit from the scientific and research experiences of different experts in the Kingdom.
The Dean of Scientific Research said the lecture will cover a number of topics relating to scientific research methodologies, critical views on current scientific research methodologies, and the manner of applying scientific research methodologies in serving Islamic research. This is in addition to His Excellency's research experience and his directions to researchers. He indicated that this lecture aims to introduce the means and mechanisms of employing scientific research methodologies to serve Islamic research. The lecture also aims to provide benefit from His Excellency's research experiences for many well-known and prominent scholarly authorities.
