Dr. Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Shamarani, an assistant professor of computer engineering and the supervisor of the Advanced Technologies Unit at the Information and Research Service Department at the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research, participated as a speaker in the Hajj Security and Safety Forum held as part of the activities of the Saudi National Security and Risk Prevention SNSR Expo held in Riyadh from Sunday 4 to Tuesday 6 of November 2018. He was nominated by the forum organizing committee. His Eminence delivered a speech entitled 'Mass Information and Emergency Communication Solutions for Ethnic Groups.'
It is worth mentioning that his participation reflects the institute's interest in the participation of scientific and research experts in serving pilgrims and upgrading the level of service offered to them in all areas, especially in the application of modern technology in line with Saudi Vision 2030. The forum gained the attention of the Ministry of Interior and the security bodies in the Kingdom. It also attracted great participation from specialists and those concerned with the safety and security of pilgrims and smart cities.
