On Tuesday, 6 November 2018, the UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Kholy, launched the Safe Driving Forum (2) and the associated exhibition introducing the National Center for Security Operations, traffic safety methods, and traffic applications. It was organized by the Traffic Safety Club at the Deanship of Students Affairs, in cooperation with the General Department of Traffic in Makkah. It was attended by Dr. Amal bint Omar Sanady, Vice Dean of Students Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership, and Dr. Farida bint Muhammad Al-Ghamdy, Vice Dean for University Studies. It was held in Jawhara Hall at Al-Zahir campus.

Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Kholy, UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, clarified that this forum was to spread awareness of safe driving behavior in accordance with traffic rules, as part of Saudi Vision 2030. Finally, she expressed her hope that the participants would adhere to traffic safety measures for the sake of their own safety.

Dr. Amal bint Omar Sanady, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership, then clarified that the deanship would continue, through its future vision, to organize similar awareness programs to guarantee women's safe driving.

It is worth noting that the forum, along with the associated exhibition, includes a virtual driving experience and shock simulation experience at a speed that does not exceed 20 km/hour. They also include health guidelines for safe driving and workshops on driving skills and etiquette.
