Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the UQU Vice Presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship, participated in two pavilions for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute and Wadi Makkah Company at the 'Baiban Makkah' Forum, which was launched by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, at Jeddah Center for Forums and Events.
Those in charge of the two pavilions presented to the visitors the programs and initiatives carried out by the UQU Vice Presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship through the Innovation Institute and Wadi Makkah Company, for creative people, entrepreneurs, and owners of ideas.
Meanwhile, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hany bin Othman Ghazy, said the participation of the university, represented by the Innovation Institute and Wadi Makkah Company, aimed to introduce visitors of the forum and those interested in innovation and entrepreneurship to the educational and training programs offered to innovators and interested persons from all segments of the community, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 to support a system of innovation and entrepreneurship, and a knowledge-based economy. He praised the full support and outstanding attention paid by the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, in boosting the system of innovation and entrepreneurship and the rehabilitation of talent, as well as providing a suitable innovative environment for them.
For his part, the Dean of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, Dr. Muwaffaq Urijah, said the participation of the Institute in Baiban forum served to introduce the Institute's role, initiatives, and programs in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. He said the Institute carried out several specialized workshops in the field of establishing innovative and startup projects in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020.
