His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, checked on one of the investment sites for food services at the Academic Center at Al-Abdiyyah Campus. He was accompanied by Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Rashad Suruji, UQU Vice-President for Educational Affairs; Dr. Hashim bin Ahmed Al-Samadani, Dean of Admissions and Registration; and Dr. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, Dean of Information Technology.

His Excellency examined the quality of the meals and the service mechanism. He addressed those in charge of the restaurant, stressing the importance of applying food safety standards during meal preparation. He also stressed that meals should not be overpriced. His Excellency also emphasized the necessity of carrying out inspections of all the investment sites to ensure they are being run in accordance with safety standards.

During the visit, His Excellency listened to the students' requests and their degree of satisfaction with the meals served by the restaurant. He wished them success in their academic journey.
