The Umm Al-Qura University Vice Dean, Dr Yasser ibn Suleiman Shushu extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman ibn Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, his royal highness the Heir Apparent ,the Deputy Crown prince, the royal family and all the Saudi people on the occasion of the National Day.

In a statement made on this occasion, Dr. Yasser said “such a national occasion has us contemplating the past which embodied by the leader who unified this country, King Abdul-Aziz ibn Abul-Rahman. It also makes us think about the present which our strong country witnesses and goes through: the past events it went through and how it ended up. Such a national occasion gets us admiring the status and the weight which the Kingdom occupies at the world and international map in terms of strategic location or as leader for the Islamic world as the country of the Two Holy Mosques. And it is also a home for the Holy Kaaba , the destination of all the Muslims the world over. Not only that, but also Allah bestowed upon it grace and natural resources topped by the oil which is the first and main driving forcefor the world economy. I can not also fail to mention the prudent leadership with which Allah singled it out since the reign of the founding King Abdul-Aziz through his reverend sons Saudi, Faisal, Khalid, Fahad and Abdullah to our current reign the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman ibn Abdul-Aziz AL-Saud. Such a leadership with the political brinksmanship it shows managed to place the Kingdom and its people into the status they deserves, and it has become influential to the process of international decision making.

Dr. Yasser concluded his statement praying Allah the Almighty to perpetuate our country’s security and prosperity and stability under such a prudent leadership.
