College of Arabic Language Celebrates 88th National Day with a Poetry Reading

The College of Arabic Language and Literature celebrated the 88th anniversary of the Saudi National Day with a Poetry Event organized with the participation of the college poets in the presence of the College Dean Dr. Abdullah bin Nassir Al-Qarni, the College Vice Deans and large audience including; faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students from various colleges. The event took place at the scientific discussions hall at the college headquarters in Abdyia.

 
 
Meanwhile, the College Dean Prof. Abdullah Al-Qarni praised the support attached by the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail to the different activities and programs of the college pointing out that this event comes to participate with the nation the celebration of the 88th anniversary of the national day which is reckoned a glorious day for all the sons of this blessed country, May Allah perpetuate its security and stability where it was unified by the King Abdulaziz, may Allah rest his soul in peace.


  
 Then the poetry reading started and was run by the Head of Literature Department Dr. Tayeb Al-Harthi witnessing participation of the Head of Graduate Studies Department in the Arabic Language College Dr. Saud Al-Saadi, the faculty member in the Arabic Language Grammar Department Dr. Yahyia Al-Oqaibi, and the faculty member in the Classical Arabic Rhetoric Department Mr. Ahmed Al-Harthi who recited a unique poetic bunch of national poems hailing the developmental renaissance currently witnessed in the Kingdom in all fields  and the efforts exerted in serving the pilgrims and the Two Holy Mosques.  

 
 
After that, the female student Tamador Al-Amir recited its poem that won the first place in the poem axis in the competition of (Homeland, Language Are My Pride).  


 
At the conclusion of the event, the Dean of the Arabic Language College Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarni honored the participants and collaborators.
