In collaboration with King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah (KAMC), the College of Business Administration at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) organized a blood donation campaign for the Saudi brave soldiers on the Southern Boarders. The two-day campaign entitled, “Our Blood is for Our Heroes” was organized on Tuesday-Wednesday, 16-17th Muharram 1440H for the Boys and Girls Sections respectively. It was held at the headquarters of KAMC in Makkah. In addition, it was attended by both Prof. Ihsan Al-Mu’taz, Dean of the BA College, and Dr. Abdullah Ghubashy, CEO of KAMC.
During the event, Prof. Ihsan Al-Mu’taz said that this campaign was one of the College’s national initiatives of social responsibility. He added that it aimed at reinforcing social interaction among the people of the homeland, instilling the principles of voluntary work and blood donation cultures among university students, and increasing the national cohesion among the Saudi people. Moreover, he appreciated the interaction of the College’s students and affiliates with such a blessed initiative that was greatly received by both male and female students. He also noted that the event was considered the least that can be offered to those who stood as an impenetrable barrier to protect our homeland and our souls, and sacrificed all what was precious for the security of the two Holy Mosques.
In the same context, Prof. Al-Mu’taz extended deep thanks and gratitude to all participants in the success of such national initiative. He also hailed the support and concern provided by Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafil, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) to all the College’s activities and programs.
