First Student Forum for First-Year Students in the College of Engineering

Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Jabir Al-Zahrani and in the presence and supervision of the College Vice Dean Dr. Alawi Ba-Mahdi, the Students Club organized the first orientation forum for the First-Year Students in the College of Engineering and the preparatory year for the academic year (1439/1440 H) on Monday Muharram 7, 1440 H. The meeting was attended by the Collge Vice Dean for Training and Industrial Relations Dr. Obaid Al-Hadreeti and the Head of Industrial Relations Department Dr. Mohamed Nassar. 


The meeting started by introducing the preparatory year, its objectives and the challenges facing students besides introducing the available specializations in the college tow departments of industrial engineering and construction engineering and their importance for the labor market. The activities of the engineering club for this year were launched with the speech of the chairperson of the club in which he welcomed the audience and introduced the identity of the engineering club and the committees, which can be joined by students. He then extended his thanks to the Dean of the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah and all those in charge of the engineering club in Al-Qunfudhah. 


At the conclusion of the meeting and on behalf of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer, the College vice Dean Dr. Alawi Ba-Mahdi delivered speech extending his thanks to the audience and members of the engineering club. He then shed light on the college's aspirations, which were set in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. 


After that, the students toured the orientation platforms including; (preparatory year platform-construction engineering platform- industrial engineering platform) in which the inquiries of the students were responded and a package of files was presented for them via the barcode by the members of the engineering club.
