The Chair of Yahiya and Mishaal sons of Sheikh Sorour Al-Zaidi for Research in Rheumatic Diseases at the College of Medicine in Umm Al-Qura University held the 7th scientific meeting for Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases within the events of the Emirates Society for Rheumatology (ESR) at the American College of Rheumatology in Dubai.

100 participants including medical students, resident doctors, specialists, and consultants attended the meeting. The scientific material included interactive lectures, training panels on clinical screening skills of Arthritis besides studying clinical cases and how to deal and handle them. 

The UQU College of Medicine was represented in this event by a number of faculty members and eight students. The meeting came within the goals set by the Chair of Yahiya and Mishaal sons of Sheikh Sorour Al-Zaidi for Research in Rheumatic Diseases to be achieved in the scientific research fields and scientific participation in the events held at the local and international levels.
