UQU President Launches Future Gate Forum to Receive 10 Thousand First-Year Students

The President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail launched today "Future Gate" Forum at the Deanship of Students Affairs while receiving 10 thousand students in the first-year with the beginning of the academic year 1439/1440 H. 

 

In his speech, Prof. Bafail congratulated the students for joining this prestigious university "Umm Al-Qura" and for starting their new academic year. "The university with its top leadership, and staff including; deans, heads of the departments, faculty members and employees is fully prepared with open hearts to serve its male and female students and provide them with the proper educational environment to continue their university education in this blessed university", he emphasized. 

 

He also lauded the noble patronage and generous support attached by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Heir apparent to science and learning in this generous country and the boundless support provided for Umm Al-Qura University enabling it to offer educational opportunities for the male and female students of this blessed country to continue their university education. He extended his thanks and appreciation in his name and on behalf of the university affiliates including; UQU Vice Presidents, deans, heads of the departments, faculty members and students to the leader of our blessed march the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Heir Apparent and the wise government. He also extended his thanks to the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa for his permanent support provided for the university to place Umm Al-Qura within the top international universities.   

 

He then urged the students to work hard and diligently in science and take advantage of all potentials provided by the university. He stressed the importance of maintaining all capacities harnessed by the university for its students, wishing success for everyone.  

 

It should be mentioned here that the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail has launched the "Future Gate" Forum organized by the Deanship of Students Affairs to receive the university students in the presence of the UQU Vice Presidents, College Deans and the students of the first-year. He toured King Saud Hall, which embraced the students of the first-year and reviewed the programs included in the gate to receive the students over three days and the stimulant environment provided by the deanship to help the students involve in the university's study environment.  

 

The Future Gate Forum will receive students in the morning period from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM, while the evening period is devoted for female students from 4:30 PM until 9:30 PM. The Deanship of Student Affairs requested all first-year students to bring their national IDs with them to obtain the university card and take advantage of the university services.
