Hajj Institute to Develop Grouping Adjustment Mechanism

The Vice Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Researches at Umm Al-Qura University, Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Idris said the Institute represented by the Urban and Engineering Research Department is going to study a new mechanism for grouping the pilgrims from their tents in Mina to the Jamarat area.


 
Meanwhile, Dr. Idris who is also the main researcher of the study indicated that such a thing will be carried out by reviewing studies related to the grouping, identifying status quo at Mina area, as well as setting locations of the Tawafa foundations. 
"The scientific and technical development has contributed effectively to access to a range of creative solutions aimed at serving the pilgrims", he expounded.    
 


He added that the Institute will carry out 27 studies and continuous program with the participation of 90 researchers and assistants from the Institute to offer their considerable expertise in the studies related to the Two Holy Mosques, the Holy Sites and air ports and covering the economic, nutrition, awareness, guidance, transport, crowd management, environmental, health, information and statistical fields. 
 

 

He went on to add that the majority of these studies are concerned with the latest developments and tasks assigned to the Institute including; the evaluation of  the annual operational  matters such as the train project, grouping stages, shuttle transport, grouping stage at Jabel Al-Rahma, besides Nafrah program and the annual estimation of the numbers of pilgrims at Arafat area.
