UQU College of Business Administration represented by Hajj and Umrah Department launched on Sunday Dhul-Hijjah 1, 1439 H in collaboration with the Coordinative Council for the Internal Pilgrims Companies and Establishments and the UQU Department of Media and Public Relations a number of specialized forums in the field of Hajj and Umrah to last from Dhul-Hijjah 1-4, 1439 H at King Abdul-Aziz Supportive Hall at the University campus in Abdyia.
Meanwhile, the Head of UQU Department of Hajj and Umrah Business Administration Dr. Mohamed bin Naif Al-Sharif said: these forums come to activate the agreement signed between the department and the council to serve the workers and those involved in the Hajj season from all sectors and within the college and department's plan to participate in serving the community and the pilgrims. He added that the first meeting covered the Holy Sites Metro-Line and its role, work mechanism, emergency plan, crowd management strategy at the metro-line stations with the participation of the leadership of the Facilities Security Forces and Makkah Development Commission. The meeting also included workshops about the organizational plan of the Specific Tasks Department of the Holy Sites Metro-Line in the presence of the Deputy Commander of Facilities Security Forces Major General Abdullah bin Saad Al-Otaibi and the Commander of the Field Specific Tasks Brig. Abdul-Rahman Mansour Al-Turki, which provided a detailed presentation about the tasks and plan to be implemented by the Facilities Security Forces in the Holy Sites.
The Advisor to Makkah Development Commission, Dr. Saleem Posta presented a workshop about the crowd management in the Metro-Line Stations. The workshop discussed the main themes of improving the metro-line infrastructure, crowd management, and the scientific rules for designating pedestrian roads in the Holy Sites. It also covered the plan to be followed in the crowd management in the (Metro-Line sidewalks, under the stations, entrance gates to stations) besides the metro-line movement and launching times.
Further, Dr. Al-Sharif lauded the support and attention paid by the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail, UQU Vice Presidents, Dean of the College of Business Administration Dr. Sultan Al-Boqami, College Vice Deans, to organizing and activating such forums.
It should be noted here that the Forum would discuss a number of issues during the coming days including workshops about the grouping of internal pilgrims, first aid, electricity, municipality and the forum of public health for the affiliates of the Internal Pilgrims Companies and Establishments.
