UQU President Launches Training Program for (1616) Teachers Next Sunday

Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel, Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) President, will launch, on Sunday 1\11\1439 AH at the Education College Hall, Al-Abediya Campus, the summer training program for the male and female teachers of the Ministry of Education, which is carried out by the College of Education during 2-27\11\1439 AH. During this program, (44) training courses will be held for MOE’s assistant directors, educational supervisors, headmasters, mentors and teachers.

Prof. Bafeel extolled the support of the wise leadership- May Allah support them- to the educational, research environmental and academic programs. He also spoke highly of the trust of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Eissa, Minister of Education, to the educational programs that UQU’s College of Education presents; mentioning that the aim of this program is to offer training packages that contribute to the development of the skills of professionals in educational posts in accordance with their needs and specialties.

The program, UQU President added, targets the MOE’s assistant directors, educational supervisors, headmasters, mentors and teachers, and its outputs are compatible with the Kingdom vision 2030; wishing them success to achieve the aspirations of the Ministry of Education towards the development of the educational environment. Moreover, he praised the efforts of Dr. Ali bin Musleh Al-Matrefi, dean of the College of Education, along with all the team members that assist in preparing the training packages and halls.

In turn, Dr. Ali bin Musleh Al-Matrefi, dean of the College of Education, explained that the training program includes offering a various optional set of developmental programs for the holders of educational posts in accordance with their professional and scientific specialization. The training program includes (44) training courses implemented through (6) training packages; the number of male and female teachers enrolled in the program amounted to (1616).

He pointed out that the training program aims to provide professional and supportive learning environments, to raise the level of professional performance of the educational staff, to improve efficiency to ensure the quality of the educational output, and prepare the new teacher for the professional practice. He added that 11 male and female trainers will train distinguished elite of academic faculty members in educational sciences.

Dr. Ali said that the training packages are related to the use of coaching skill in changing the conduct, the design of teaching among strategies over and above creative and critical thinking, supervision supporting education, procedural research to improve educational practices and evaluation using analytical performance evaluation rules. He extolled the support and directions of UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel.
