UQU President Meets with the Deans of the Colleges with International Academic Accreditation

The President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail met today Monday Shawal 18, 1439 H with the Deans of the colleges, which obtained the international academic accreditation in the presence of the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi and the Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed Jaafar Thabit. The meeting took place in the president's office at the university campus in Abdyia.  

 

At the commencement of the meeting, Prof. Bafail stressed the importance of maintaining such high-quality level after the colleges have obtained the academic accreditation and working unceasingly on developing the colleges' performance in addition to boosting the educational process and the colleges' outcomes.

 

During the meeting, he listened to the aspirations of the deans and challenges facing them to achieve the academic excellence and pledged to overcome all obstacles hindering their progress to reach the global level.  

 

Within the same vein, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani Ghazi said this meeting comes within the vice presidency's plan to follow up the performance of the colleges after obtaining the academic accreditation to provide them with the needed support and advice to maintain their excellent level after obtaining the academic accreditation certificates form a global commission of high reputation. He then urged these colleges to upgrade such level to reach the highest excellence degrees. He also lauded the continuous follow-up and boundless support provided by the UQU President for the university's plan set to make all its programs obtaining the academic accreditation. 

 

For his part, the Dean of University Development and Quality Dr. Mohamed Thabit explained that the number of the programs, which obtained the international accreditation, is 29 from 12 colleges and that work is underway to make the university obtain the institutional accreditation during the coming academic year 1439/1440 H beside two international accreditations by two programs and 8 national accreditations. He praised the significant support provided by the UQU President and UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship for the plans and programs of the university academic accreditation. He also lauded the great efforts exerted by the colleges' leadership and affiliates to achieve the highest level of quality and obtain the academic accreditation.
