UQU Vice President Launches Researchers Annual Scientific Meeting to Discuss 30 Studies and Programs

On behalf of the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail, the UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir bin Suleiman bin Ahmed Shoushou launched the researchers annual scientific meeting for this year's Ramadan season organized by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research to discuss 30 studies and programs. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Sami bin Yassin Barhamain, a number of the officials from the relevant public and private sectors authorities and the Institute's vice deans and affiliates at the research tent at Institute's headquarters in Azizia campus 

 

After initiating the meeting with a Quranic recitation, the Dean of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Sami bin Yassin Barhamain delivered speech saying that this annual meeting which enjoys the sponsorship of the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail will conduct this year 30 studies and programs which requires field work to collecting and analyzing data, making the necessary measurements and taking samples from Grand and Prophet Mosques environments and yards in addition to the means and routes of transportation leading to them. 

 

He said the field studies of the Institute cover all fields related to Hajj and Umrah system in the engineering, urban, administrative, humanitarian, media, awareness, technology and information fields in line with the vision and aspirations of the Kingdom Vision 2030. He then extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir Shoushou for attending and opening the meeting activities praising the efforts exerted by the researchers and workers on the Institute. After that, the audience watched a presentation by Dr. Abdullah Al-Sobaie about the achievements and participation of the Institute during the year 1439 H.  

 

He was followed by the Head of Research and Media Affairs Department in the Institute Dr. Osman Gazzaz who made a presentation about the interactive touch screens and their awareness role during the Umrah performers and visitors trip. Then, Dr. Atif Asghar made a presentation related to assessing the health environment to the visitors of the Grand Mosque. Then, the researcher in the Department of Scientific Services and Information Dr. Mohamed Yassin submitted a presentation on using modeling technology in the crowd management in the Grand Mosque to be followed by Dr. Ahmed Hatim Ghadi who shed light on the most significant studies carried out by the Institute during this year's Ramadan season at the Institute branch in Al-Madinah.

      

For his part, the UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir bin Suleiman Shoushou extended his thanks and appreciation to the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail for assigning him to attend this meeting on behalf of him. He also praised the research and studies carried out by the Institute during this year's Ramadan season which will contribute to serving the pilgrims in performing their rituals lauding the support attached to the Institute of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques for Hajj and Umrah Research by the wise leadership. This support he said contributes to providing feasible studies which will contribute to upgrading the Hajj and Umrah services system in line with the National Transformation Plan 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2030 wishing for the meeting to come up with recommendations serving the Umrah performers and visitors. He further branded the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute as a scientific beacon for more than 40 years and one of the university's points of strengths with its outstanding research staff and researchers.     

 

 At the conclusion of the meeting,  the Institute presented a memorial gift to the UQU Vice President who then inspected the institute's research departments and laboratories.
