Umm Al-Qura University represented by the Department of History, College of Sharia and Islamic Studies has awarded the Director of Makkah Police Gen. Fahad bin Mutlaq Al-Osaimi the Ph.D. degree with an excellent grade in modern history in his thesis titled: "Reconciliation in the Saudi Rein (1319-1436 H). The panel consisted of Prof. Abdul-Latif bin Mohamed Al-Hameed, Dr. Abdul-Latif bin Abdullah bin Dihaish and Dr. Yousef bin Ali Al-Thaqafi in the presence of the UQU President Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, Director of the Officers Affairs in Makkah Police Col. Abdul-Mohsin Al-Maiman, the Vice Dean of College of Sharia for Postgraduate Studies Dr. Talal Al-Barakati, the Deputy Heads of Departments and a number of faculty members in the college. The thesis defense took place at Sheikh Omar Al-Sibail Hall at the university campus in Abdyia.  

Meanwhile, the Director of Makkah Police Gen. Fahad bin Mutlaq Al-Osaimi said that his scientific thesis focused in the issue of " Reconciliation in the Saudi Rein (1319-1436 H)" in five chapters covering the following themes: reconciliation projects and types, the historical evolution of reconciliation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, establishment of reconciliation associations during the last two decades, discussing the preparation and qualification of family reformers while the fifth chapter covered the impact of reconciliation on achieving the internal stability.   

He then praised the keenness of the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail to attend his thesis defense and the attention paid by him to upgrade the educational environment in the university such manner which serves students. He also extended his thanks to the Dean of Sharia and Islamic Studies College Dr. Ghazi bin Morshid Al-Otaibi, the Head of History Department, the members of the teaching staff and the members of his defense panel.  

For his part, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail congratulated the Director of Makkah Police Gen. Fahad Al-Osaimi for obtaining the Ph.D. degree with an excellent grade in his scientific thesis indicating that Umm Al-Qura University is proud to have such competencies which contributed to serving their nation wishing him all success in his future endeavors.
