His Highness the Assistant Undersecretary of Makkah Emirate for Rights Prince Faisal bin Mohamed bin Saad received today at his office at the emirate chamber in Makkah the UQU President Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail.
To commence the meeting, Prince Faisal congratulated the UQU President on the noble confidence entrusted in him by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for designating him as the president of the university stressing the importance of cooperation with the university in the consultation and training services and in taking the advantage of the academic and research services of the university in the administrative and field works undertaken by the emirate to have positive results in providing high quality services in line with the directives and aspirations of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdul-Aziz. Then, he wished prof. Bafail all success in developing the university's educational and academic environment.
For his part, the UQU President Prof. Abdullah Bafail valued the confidence entrusted in him by the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud for designating him as the President of Umm Al-Qura University, praising the directives of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdul-Aziz, to develop the educational environment in such manner which achieves aspirations and desires of the sons of the region by providing quality academic programs in all fields required by the labor market in line with the Kingdom Vision 2020. He also praised the keenness of His Highness the Assistant Undersecretary of Makkah Emirate for Rights Prince Faisal bin Mohamed bin Saad to meet him and extend his congratulations and blessings.
He went on to add that that about 110 thousand students are enrolled in the university in its main campus in Makkah and its branches in Jamoum, Al-Lith, Adhm and Al-Qunfudhah provinces. He also lauded the support of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa which contributed to providing the proper academic environment in line with the visions and aspirations set by the wise leadership for the educational process in the Kingdom.
