Under the patronage and honor of Dr. Abdel-Aziz bin Rashad Sorouji, UQU Vice President for the Educational Affairs; the College of Applied Sciences’ Physics Department inaugurated the 1st Scientific Meeting for Graduation Projects of the male and female seniors and its exhibition. He was received by Dr. Hatem bin Mohammed Al-Tass, dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Dr. Saleh bin Marzouq Al-Lukmani, head of Physics Department, and the faculty members.
This meeting and its exhibition included the participation of 14 projects of the department’s male and female students, in addition to the participation of students and postgraduate students with their scientific research. The research and architectural capabilities were also reviewed in the department. It was also a window to raise awareness and education in the fields of work of physicists and their role in serving the community and pushing the development of the homeland. The research and publications published by the Department of Physics were also reviewed during the exhibition along with the department’s community activities.
The aim of this event is to provide students with confidence, scientific and research skills, and leadership and initiative learning. The department is also looking forward to obtain successful experiences in the field of entrepreneurship from these projects, in addition to the research that can be transformed into innovation, environmental solutions and energy production in the near future, in line with UQU vision and work in line with the achievement of the Kingdom vision 2030.
