The UQU Vice-President for Business & Innovation who serves also as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Wadi Makkah Dr. Nabil bin Abdul Qader Koshak paid a visit to Wadi Makkah startups pavilion in Souq Okaz "Okaz Future Avenue", within the 10th session of Souq Okaz on Dhul-Qe'dah 16, 1437H. He was accompanied by the Director General of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage in Makkah, Dr. Faisal bin Mohamed El-Sherif. 
 
Meanwhile, Dr. Koshak said the participation of Wadi Makkah Technology Company through the products of the startups is represented in several ideas which were transferred into patents, and then to tangible technology products under the initiative of "Made in Makkah", in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030 towards the transformation to the knowledge-based economy. He expressed his delight and pride for the active participation of the startups in the annual Souq Okaz Festival.  
 
He explained that the participation this year represented in showcasing products of the startups in several fields including; transportation technologies, crowd management, smart cities and health technologies. He added that several practical smart technologies of the models of the electronic devices of Wadi Makkah were introduced to the visitors of the exhibition to instill principles of innovation and knowledge-based economy in their minds, pointing out that  this participation was paid close attention by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas as a unique opportunity to showcase the innovative products of Wadi Makkah startups.   
 
After that, Dr. Koshak and Dr. El-Sherif toured the pavilions of the government and private agencies participating in Okaz Future Avenue during which the several technologies of these agencies were introduced to them. 
 
It is Noteworthy that Wadi Makkah Startups Pavilion in Souq Okaz "Okaz Future Avenue", has significantly attracted large numbers of visitors because of the pioneering technology products showcased  in it.
