The President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail received the Director of Mass Communication Research Center of Jamia Millia Islamia in India Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed in the presence of the Dean of College of Sharia and Islamic Studies Dr. Ghazi bin Morshid Al-Otaibi, Dean of College of D'awa and Islamic Theology Dr. Faisal Ghazawi and the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers Dr. Hassan Bukhari. The meeting took place at his office at the university campus in Abdyia.
At the commencement of the meeting, the UQU President Prof. Bafail welcomed the Director of Mass Communication Research Center of Jamia Millia Islamia in India Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed praising the support provided by the wise leadership for the university's educational programs in such manner which contributed to providing the university education in all branches of knowledge for the sons of the country besides providing educational opportunities for the sons of the Islamic nation enrolled in the university through the programs of the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Native Speakers and the colleges of Sharia and Arabic Language.
He then reviewed the programs provided by the university in all branches of science including; Sharia, Arabic language and literature, engineering, medicine, and the administrative sciences amounting up to 596 programs at the university main campus in Makkah and its branches in Jamoum, Al-Lith, Al-Qunfudhah, and Al-Lith. He also praised the support provided by the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa in such manner which contributed to creating an attractive educational environment for science and learning.
Afterward, he handed out a memorial gift to the Director of Mass Communication Research Center of Jamia Millia Islamia in India on this occasion.
For his part, Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed acclaimed the support attached by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud to the sons of the Islamic nation praising the programs provided by Umm Al-Qura University in the sharia sciences and Arabic language.
