Vice Dean of University Studies for Girls for Development and Educational Affairs Inaugurates Story of a Passion Forum

Her Excellency Dr. Kholoud bint Saad Al-Yusuf, Vice Dean of University Studies for Girls for Development and Educational Affairs, inaugurated the “Story of a Passion” forum, on Thursday, Rajab 19, 1439 AH, in Al-Jawharah Hall at the University’s Zaher-based premises. The event was organized by the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Student Activities and Training, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Club. It aims at presenting the experiences of female students in the area of innovation, entrepreneurship, and inventions; shedding light on the achievements of women; and enhancing the role of women in promoting society through creating job opportunities suitable for them.  

The meeting opened with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Then, Dr. Kholoud bint Muhammad Abu Al-Naja, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities and Training, gave a speech in which she talked about the importance of finding a stimulating environment for female students in order to instill the spirit of creativity and innovation in them; satisfy their passion; and awaken the passion inside of them through addressing their hearts and minds focusing on nurturing the idea of achievement; overcoming difficulties; and hovering in the world of creativity. Meanwhile, she expressed her appreciation of the support and directions of Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khouli, Vice President for Female Student Affairs. She also praised the efforts exerted by the judging panel: Dr. Somayyah Ezzat Sharaf; Dr. Wafaa bint Abdulaziz Mohder; and the entire female staff. 

After that, the students participating in the contest gave presentations on their contributions consecutively. In the end, Dr. Kholoud bint Saad Al-Yusuf, Vice Dean of University Studies for Girls for Development and Educational Affairs, honored those who participated in the forum; lauded their creative efforts; and gave them plaques of appreciation on this occasion.
