UQU President Condemns Terrorist Attacks Hit Saudi Arabia

President of Umm Al Qura University Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas has strongly condemned the attacks that struck Saudi cities of Jeddah, Madina and Qatif that killed four people and injured a number of policemen. The president described the attacks as barbaric crimes that know no religion, he said, adding the attackers are renegades who showed disrespect for the holy place and the holy month of Ramadan.

He said: "The one who commits such denounced crimes in the vicinity of the tomb of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his Holy Mosque to terrify innocent people has veered off normal values and community."

Assas asserted the Kingdom's leaders would spare no efforts to continue the kingdom's fight against terrorism. The Saudi security apparatuses have devoted its facilities to defend homeland and people, he said, noting they managed to thwart a number of terror schemes.

He offered condolences to the families of the victims who sacrificed their lives for the security of homeland. He wished the injure people speedy recovery hailing efforts exerted by the Interior Ministry and the wise leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
