UQU President Inaugurates Nursing College Labs in Al-Abediya

Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas, Umm Al-Qura University President, inaugurated the labs of the College of Nursing, during his inspection visit today to the College at the Male section at the UQU Campus in Al-Abediya. It was attended by Dr. Ayman Khalid Jawaherjy, the Dean of College of Nursing; Dr. Mohamed Al-Shememary, the Head of     
the Department of Nursing Sciences and Research; Dr. Mohamed Al-Rashoud, the Assistant Professor at the College; teaching staff members and students.
Upon his arrival, the UQU President cut the ribbon announcing the inauguration of the Advanced Nursing Simulation Lab. After that he watched an advanced CPR realistic simulation experiment, a normal delivery surgery for a simulation doll and a video for equipping the college’s labs.    
That was followed by an inspection for the college’s facilities; as the UQU President and his escorts checked the two main nursing labs and watched main CPR realistic simulation experiments, Antibiotic susceptibility testing, in addition to the blood draw experiment done by the second year students at the College, in which he participated with the students.
Dr. Bakri expressed his happiness for what he saw of advanced installation at the College’s labs and the students’ scientific and skills levels. He then thanked Dr. Ayman Khalid Jawaherjy, the Dean of College of Nursing, and the employees, including the teaching staff members, technical and administrative cadres, and innovative students, wishing all luck and success.
Moreover, Dr. Ayman Jawaherjy thanked Dr. Bakri for the inauguration of the labs and the inspection visit to the college’s facilities. He added that nothing would have been achieved but for the grace of God at the first place and for the support, consideration and follow up of Dr. Bakri on all the different departments of the university in general and the College of Nursing in particular.
