The President of UQU, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assass, has witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the College of Community Service and Continued Education at UQU and Ataa Charity Foundation. The signing took place at Dr. Assass’s office at the university campus in Al-Abideyah, with the participation of the Dean of the College of Community Service, Dr. Khalid bin Youssef Barqawi, and the Chief Advisor at Ataa, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Aliani, in addition to the Manager of Voluntary Work at the Charity, Adel Hammad Al-Hassanani, and a number of officials.
Dr. Assass blessed this step as part of the cooperation between the various sectors of the university and civil society foundations. He stressed that the recently signed MoU will further enhance the joint cooperation between the two parties and will eventually contribute to developing the voluntary work system in accordance with scientific studies and programs. Dr. Assass wished everyone success at spreading the culture of voluntary work between boys and girls and instilling the concepts of voluntary work among university students in public and private education.
For their part, Dr. Barqawi and Dr. Al-Aliani have extended their thanks and appreciation for Dr. Assass for his personal care and direct support to such initiatives and agreements between the various sectors of UQU and civil society foundations, whether the private, public or non-profit, especially in the fields that aim to instill good morals and human principles and support charity work. They stressed that everyone is working to develop the system of voluntary work based on foundational work that contributes to serving the society.
They have both explained that the agreement signed between the two parties will contribute to achieving joint cooperation between the College of Community Service and Ataa Charity Foundation to coordinate and implement voluntary initiatives in different fields in institutional organized ways. This can happen through the implementation of programs that meet the national objectives to serve the community. They have both concluded their meeting with prayers to Allah for success and help for everyone.
