Dr. Yasser bin Ali Al-Qahtany, Spokesperson of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), confirmed the fakeness of the news reported by the social media about the deduction of 20 SAR from students' bonuses as of next month for the purpose of building a new laboratory. He added that according to the guidance of Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas (UQU President) and the direct supervision of Dr. Yasser bin Suleiman Shosho (UQU Vice-President), UQU has been seeking to pay students their bonuses according to their scheduled dates simultaneously with the salaries of state employees. Moreover, he pointed out that the student beneficiaries are reported to the relevant authorities early in order to be paid on time.

Thus, he wished that the media and the reporters of such fake news would investigate information from the official sources. In other words, they should refer to the Department of Public Relations, UQU official website, as well as UQU official social media accounts.
