President of Umm Al-Qura University who serves also as the Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas  headed the 34th meeting of the representatives of Ministry of Interior, Higher Hajj Committee, and Presidency of State Security in which the work progress which reached 80% in Zam Zam area Rehabilitation Project and the services channels, was discussed. The meeting took place at King Faisal hall at the university campus in Abdyia. 

Meanwhile, Dr. Assas lauded that the keenness attached to the committee by the Custodian of the Two Hoy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and heir apparent Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud. He also lauded the directives and attention of the Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, acting Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bander and the follow-up and supervision of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Ieesa. Dr. Assas underscored that the meeting comes to benefit from the field expertise of the security and operational bodies and to harmonize the operational plans to achieve the works of Zam Zam Project Rehabilitation and provide safety requirements for the convenience and safety of the pilgrims and visitors of the Grand mosque.

He went on to add that the contribution of the committee to the development of designs works, supervision of concert works and adherence to safety and professional health standards in the projects of the Grand Mosques comes in line with the directives of the wise leadership to provide the maximum safety means for the pilgrims revealing that the committee has recruited several national qualified competencies in the fields related to the committees technical, engineering and administrative works,  noting that so far 80% of works of Zam Zam Rehabilitation project have been achieved. 

For his part, the Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Development Projects of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Faisal Wafa said the meeting comes to discuss the works required to be completed at the project of increasing the Mattaf's  accommodation capacity to reach the numbers stated by the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020 in line with the best methods and styles required and supported by the Government. He added the meeting discuss the achievement made in the Zam Zam Well Rehabilitation Project and service channels which will be completed before he season of Ramadan. 

It should be noted that the meeting witnessed participation of the Head of Studies Department in the General Secretariat of the Higher Hajj Committee Maj. Gen.   Mubarak Al-Mowiane, the Assistant Director of Public Security Maj. Gen. Mohamed Wasl Al-Ahmadi Commander of Grand Mosque Security Forces Maj. Gen.  Abdullah Al-Osaimi and a number of  relevant security leaders.
