Acting governor of Makkah region, HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, next Monday, 24 Jumada al-Thani 1439 AH, will review the products of Wadi Makkah Company, the activities of summer training during the past year, and the electronic sensors plant, during his visit to the company’s premises in the university city of Al-Abediya.

UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Matouq Assas, has praised the keenness and attention of HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar to visit Wadi Makkah Company and review its products that emerged from the heart of UQU’s scientific research, which enjoys the support of the wise government- May Allah assists it. He said that HRH’s visit is an extension to the visit of HRH Prince Khaled Al-Faisal bin Abdullaziz, Guardian of the two Holy Mosques and Prince of Makkah Region, to the company and UQU; as he is keen on paying attention to the university’s several programs and activities that are in line with the Saudi vision 2030.

Wadi Makkah Company works on introducing a number of programs in innovation and creativity, and transforms the innovative ideas into products of economic feasibility through providing technical resources and experiences as well as office space; in addition to the business accelerators that aim at transforming innovative products into start-ups, the provision of consulting services, training and guidance, and the investment in start-ups to achieve growth and sustainability through linking them with a network of individual investors and venture capital, Dr. Bakri said.
