Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), represented by the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, the College of Community Service and Continuous Education, and Safety Department, participated in the World Civil Defence Day      under the slogan “The Educational Institutions and Safety”, through the awareness exhibition that highlighted the Fire prevention and protection methods, in Makkah Mall.

Eng. Hani Serag Wazan, Safety Department Director, said that the Safety Department’s capabilities in the application of safety instructions in all its facilities had been showcased during the exhibition; pointing out that UQU is working to entrench the concept of safety to become among the university employees’ priorities to preserve life and property inside and outside the university; according to modern scientific mechanisms that are applied to all the facilities of the university.

The university pavilion received a number of officials from the university and out of it; including Makkah Region Civil Defense Director, Maj. Gen. Salim Al-Matrafi, and Dean of the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, Dr. Wahib Al-Harbi.
