His Excellency Dr. Saeed Al Al-Omar, President of Northern Border University, and a number of members of the Shura Council (Dr. Abdullah Al-Sufyani, Dr. Abdullah Al-Harbi, and Dr. Khaleel Al-Khaleel) visited the headquarters of Wadi Makkah Technology Company today, Thursday. They were received by His Excellency Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) and Chairman of the Company; Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi, UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship; and Dr. Faisal Allaf, CEO of the Company.

At the beginning of the visit, they watched a presentation on the Company, which included its achievements and its strategic plan 2022. 

Afterward, Dr. Assas made a speech in which he welcomed the attendees and stated that Wadi Makkah Technology Company embraces numerous startup companies that came out of the system of scientific research and patents and created out of it real, tangible products.

Then, Dr. Allaf talked about the paths of the Company; the programs it offers; the number of startups it embraces; and its present and future plan.

Following this, the delegation made a tour of the Company’s building, through which they saw the electronic sensors factory and listened to a detailed explanation on the work mechanisms of the factory and how to work on electronic sensors. They further watched a detailed presentation on all the companies emerging from Wadi Makkah Company and the technology products they offer; examples include NaviBees, indoor navigation company; Averos, smart cities company; SoftCare, medical technologies company; Tawseel, delivery company; Lucidya, digital data analysis company; BioKubes, medical laboratories company; Breez, smart control company. They also saw the media studio for shooting and montage. By the end of the visit, Dr. Assas honored the President of Northern Border University and the members of the Shura Council.
